Better than I could fathom...

Sometimes I hear in the (particularly Asian) Christian culture things like:

"Yeah, I'm so depraved..."
"Marriage is hard because after all, it's 2 sinners coming together."
"Ugh, we're such sinners. Thank God for grace. I'm such a sinner."

We linger and boast in our sinfulness and depravity. But rather, I believe the truth is, "(I used to be depraved but...) I'm now God's kid!"

Do we still sin? Yes, we do. Sin is right there with us when we want to do good many times. This present world and our bodies have not yet been fully redeemed.

Are we still sinners? Yes, we once were. But that was in a past life. :)

With Jesus, our identity is no longer as a sinner or depraved, hanging on by a small sliver thread of grace. His grace, my friends, is not that stingy. :) His grace and love is overwhelmingly generous and way better than what we could ever fathom. He sent His only son to die to demonstrate His love for us! Crazy.

Because of that, we can enter into His throne of grace with CONFIDENCE, rather than timidity. Because of that, we are now God's kids and adopted into His international family! Because of that, we are kings and queens (co-heirs with Christ). And this is just the start.

I truly believe that when we start transforming our minds to this reality (because it IS reality if we could see with spiritual eyes), we will start living fuller and more victorious lives. We are always on the winning side. Love has come and adopted us. The eternal Kingdom of God has been placed into our very beings. We are more than conquerors! What a crazy reality, better than I could ever fathom!

Yea-yuH! :)
