DNA.

I was sitting at the coffee table and noticed how I had organized myself, with my Bible, pen, notebook, iPad, and glass of water. And it reminded me of how my dad used to be organized. I haven't seen him for 16 years now but it's crazy how little quirks that my sibs and I do resemble our dad. Genetics is a powerful thing.

And then I thought about spiritual DNA. In Christ, I am a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come. Sin is no longer my spiritual DNA. As child of God, my spiritual DNA flows from God. Ain't that crazy? So that means that as His child, I probably do things (without knowing even) that resemble my Dad. That means that when I see my sibs in Christ, I will also see traits in them that resemble our Dad. "Hey! You're really joyful. You remind me of our Dad." or.. "Wow, you're so loving. Totally resembling Dad right now.."
